I did research and learned that David Styron was the only Certified Arborist (tree science) east of Raleigh. He came out to Otway (a fee service) and evaluated our oaks and gave me recommendations in the event I wanted to do the climbing!!! I hired his professional team, who did an outstanding job thinning the interior and tops of the oaks, reducing the wind drag and fall potential during hurricane winds. My wife, Valerie, and I are well pleased with their work, that was reasonable in price. They did a great cleanup, chipping all of the cuttings. Trimmer Andrew was very polite and gave me recommendations for my pecan trees. I will use them again for future work.

Styron's is a known name in Carteret County. David Styron came out and spoke with me before the work. He was knowledgeable and interested in doing what was good for the home and what would hurt the trees as little as possible. His employees were on time and delivered on David's promises. Recommended.

They did a great job! Took down a huge pine in a tight spot. Can't even tell they were in there after it was all done! Cleared some smaller trees and understory vegetation. Mulched it all up with the grinder and now it's ready for lawn seeding.
